SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Location: West Midlands
Hours of work: 40 hours per week (Hybrid)
Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
We’re looking for a proactive Software Developer to join a small, collaborative team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (with the potential to move into a permanent role).
This hybrid position offers a great opportunity to take ownership of application and API development, while also supporting and maintaining mobile and web platforms.

As Software Developer, you’ll be involved across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to both new builds and the ongoing optimisation of existing systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document APIs across the business
- Provide mobile and application support and maintenance
- Own and maintains various business applications
- Conduct UAT testing to ensure system quality
- Support integration and performance across systems
- Work confidently in Maximo and related platforms
- Ensure reliability and functionality through thorough testing
About You
- Proven experience as a software developer – gained within a large company
- Experience of C#, .NET/.NET Core/ .NET Framework
- Experience with REST APIs
- Deep understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
- Proven ability to work with SQL query syntax with SQL Server and Oracle
- Able to create technical specifications and test plans
- Experience of providing technical support for web, desktop or mobile applications, upgrading, configuring and debugging existing systems
- Experience with popular web application frameworks
- Comfortable to investigate and develop skills in new & emerging technologies
- Familiarity with JavaScript, DevOps, MAS Manage / Maximo 7, Agile and Scrum methodologies, Tools like Jira and GitHub (would be an advantage)
