Summary
The AWS Cloud Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS). The role requires expertise in cloud architecture, migration strategies, security best practices, and DevOps methodologies. The consultant will collaborate with stakeholders to assess business needs, develop scalable cloud architectures, and ensure high availability, security, and cost efficiency of AWS environments. A strong understanding of cloud automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and AWS-native services is essential to drive digital transformation initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud solutions tailored to business and technical requirements.
- Develop and optimize cloud architectures for high availability, scalability, and security.
- Perform cloud migrations, workload assessments, and optimization strategies to enhance cloud performance.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
- Ensure compliance with security and governance frameworks, including IAM policies, encryption, and monitoring.
- Automate deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure using DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
- Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement cost optimization strategies.
- Integrate AWS cloud services with third-party applications and enterprise systems.
- Provide technical guidance, documentation, and training to teams on AWS best practices.
- Stay up to date with AWS updates, emerging technologies, and industry trends to drive innovation.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Security) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud solutions in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on expertise with core AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, and CloudWatch.
- Strong understanding of networking, security best practices, and compliance in AWS environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for cloud-native applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud and infrastructure issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- A minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience as an AWS Cloud Consultant or Cloud Engineer.
