Job Description Summary

Supports the identification and development of product offerings for the business. Positions at this level operate with some autonomy but are guided by well-defined commercial policies or review of end results. The role allows modification of procedures and practices as long as the outcomes meet standards of acceptability, typically related to annual volume, margin, and compliance requirements. Responsible for medium-sized sales territories.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Accountable for functional, business, and broad company objectives. Develops processes that meet business needs, participates in long-term planning, manages complex issues within the functional area, and contributes to overall business strategy.
  2. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of sales territories, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups, applying analytical thinking and commercial experience to execute policies and strategies.
  3. Understands best practices and how their area integrates with others; stays aware of competition and differentiating factors in the market.
  4. Exercises judgment and proposes solutions outside set parameters to address complex problems related to projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers. Prioritizes information for decision-making using technical expertise and analytical thinking, sourcing from internal and limited external sources.
  5. This role primarily involves individual contribution. Requires strong interpersonal skills, acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues, may lead small low-risk projects, explains information clearly, develops team skills, and manages performance expectations, including sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

  1. Outside the USA: Advanced experience in Product Management or as a Product Manager, with knowledge comparable to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with relevant experience.
  2. In the USA: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in relevant job families or functions.

  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems effectively.
  • Skills in documenting, planning, marketing, and executing programs.
  • Proven project management capabilities.
