Mechanical Design Engineer – Machinery

Design & detail first of a kind or ‘off the shelf’ configurable automated solutions and tooling to meet a customers specific requirements. Projects can vary in size from £50k up to £2m.

£40K – £50K, 37.5 hrs per week, 25 days holiday , pension

An experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a background in designing machinery, is essential.

You must already live in the Birmingham area. Visa sponsorship is not available.

The Role

• Design machines and systems from the concept stage through to the final detailed stage using 2D AutoCad and Inventor 3D CAD software
• Involved with the planning, organising and managing meetings with the Customer in conjunction with the Project Leader
• Specifying and competitively obtaining quotations
• Solving problems and initiating corrective actions
• Specification of all sensors & ancillary equipment needed to achieve the final design

Requirements

• Qualifications to degree standard in mechanical engineering
• AutoCAD 2D and 3D skilled
• Possess several years’ machinery design experience.
• Already living locally to Birmingham, sponsorship is not possible
